2. Ask for Salsa on the Side

If the nachos are ordered for an appetizer, not everyone at the table may have the same spice tolerance. If you're looking for a little extra spice with your nachos, then consider ordering salsa on the side. This allows you to moderate the amount on your nachos and can really increase the spice level. Putting the salsa on the side also prevents the chips from becoming too soggy. You can add a little salsa at a time and still enjoy the crisp crunch with each chip you eat. Along with salsa, consider ordering jalapeno peppers on the side. You can place them on your chips when you want to add some extra spice.

3. Double Your Drinks

Between the salt and spice found on nachos, chances are you will quickly get thirsty when enjoying a plate of nachos. Before the nachos arrive, order two drinks instead of one. You can order two cups of a drink you enjoy like soda or just a single drink with a side cup of water. 

If you do order two drinks, order one without ice so the ice in a second drink does not melt. When you're ready for your second drink, you can pour it directly into the first drink to cool the beverage off. If the restaurant offers free refills, then you can enjoy the extra beverages at no extra cost.
